ESSAY NEXT CLASS (MONDAY)!!

We talked about common romantic relationship problems and made a list:

• Stress (money, kids, work).
• Others family.
• Jelousy.
• Cheating.
• Depression.
• Sexual problems.
• Difference in core values (religion).
• Abuse.
• Trauma.
• Boredom.
• Difference in life stages.
• Addictions.
• Lack of responsibility/support/communication.

Theseus:

• Entered the labyrinth to kill the minotaur (anthropomorphic beast which is half man, half bull. )    
• Womanizer and rapist.
• Killed his son, Hippolytus ("death by horse"), that he has with Amazonian wife, whom he kidnapped, Hippolyta. 

A Mid-Summer Nights Dream notes:
                 

• By William Shakespeare (wrote in about 1590-1610) in Modern English.
• Play was written circa 1595, it is dramatized poetry ( sort of like a musical).
• Thou= You= Thee
• You- Formal- used with high status and polite conversations with strangers.
• Thou- Informal- used with lower status or close friends and relatives. 
• Using the wrong 'you' can be insulting.
